Assistant Kitchen Manager

Bella & Bona is a venture-capital-backed food-tech company offering a workplace food program that employees enjoy every day.

We are looking for a passionate cook with leadership potential to support our kitchen operations in Feldkirchen bei München. The Assistant Kitchen Manager works closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth daily production, high food quality, and a well-coordinated kitchen team.

This is a hands-on role. We strongly believe in a lead by example, you will be supporting in daily production every day while building your skills in kitchen management and team coordination.

Kitchen Operations & Production

• Assist the Kitchen Manager in daily meal production and kitchen operations
• Actively participate in food preparation and cooking 
• Ensure prep lists are completed accurately and on time
• Monitor food quality, consistency, and adherence to Bella & Bona's standards
• Oversee correct food holding and refrigeration temperature control points

Food Safety & Hygiene

• Ensure full compliance with HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
• Perform daily line checks and detailed station closings
• Manage daily and weekly deep cleaning schedules

Team Coordination & Training

• Coordinate and support kitchen staff during service and prep
• Train team members on safe equipment operation, cleanliness, and Bella & Bona procedures
• Ensure all team members have the right tools and knowledge to work safely and effectively
• Assist in planning schedules and delegating responsibilities

Inventory, Planning & Organization

• Assist with inventory control, daily counts, and ordering
• Support menu planning and recipe development in coordination with the Kitchen Manager
• Participate in kitchen organization and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

We are looking for someone who combines solid cooking skills with a structured, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.

• Cooking experience or professional culinary training
• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of hygiene standards and HACCP practices
• Reliability, structure, and a strong sense of team spirit
• Good communication skills in English or German
